Week 2 Devlog: The REAL Sand Temple (1.1)
For this assignment, I decided to scrap what I had previously and start over. I expanded on the gameplay and tried my best to make the temple look a bit more polished. The temple now features three distinct "rooms": a long hallway with broken up platforms, a room with rotating and bobbing platforms, and a final room with moving platforms. Each room has a pit of lava and rocks, as well as lava falls that you must avoid.
A few models have been placed here and there as well just for a little added depth. The skylight and directional lights were hidden from the scene, and point/rect lights were added to act as glow from the lava. I've gone through and made sure everything has a material as well. To spice up the main menu a bit, I decided to make my own title image and apply it to the menu screen instead of just using text.
Finally, I added two separate timelines (4 if you wanna get specific): One for a door that swings open once you get near, but only once you have 2 keys, and three more for platforms that bob up and down at varying speeds.
